Charismatic, charming, confident, and careful – an entertainer by trade and the life at a party if given the opportunity. Natalie, though a combination of an innate sense and lots of practice with people watching has come to master the skill of knowing what people want to hear and regurgitating it out to them so fast they don't even notice she's egging them on in one way or another. Asserting herself into new crowds and situations is hardly a chore, and if you asked just about anyone else, they'd be quick to tell you that she's the sort of person who boasts a great number of friends. She lends sound advice whenever it's needed, puts herself in a line of work dedicated to helping people in small, often overlooked ways, and overall strives to bring a little magic into the mundane lifestyle of those around her. By all sense, she should be the sort of person with a hefty number of close acquaintances. And she does have acquaintances – lots of them, in fact. The problem is that she wouldn't exactly consider any of them close, nor does the street go the other way.[break][break]

For all of her hearty laughter and entertaining persona, Natalie, at her core, is actually a very lonely person. Very little of her youth was dedicated to things outside of her passion, much less making strong connections with the peers she knew she'd one day have to abandon – and while that didn't, at the time, bother her, stepping into the wide open world and realizing that not a single face in that great big crowd would give her one care either way is... well, a bit disheartening, at the very least. Her silver tongue should have earned her a few friends along the way, but when reality comes and goes, it reminds her that people only care about her so long as she keeps up the exaggerated act. Once the tricks are over and the remedies distributed, the jokes told and the parties had, no one really bothers to stick around. But she's fine with that, she'll insist until the end of the abyss. Her time and her future wealth are her's and her's alone, and nothing's more annoying than repeat customers. (As if anyone would want the companionship of a bundle of nerves held together by sugar sweet words and a profession built on lies, anyway.)

Natalie recognizes, perhaps more than anyone, that magic as she advertises it is completely and utterly fake. Catch her outside of her act (both the one on stage and the one she tends to put on around people generally) and she'll tell you as much to your face. Beyond the tricks she'll pull on stage, though, she also goes about making extra cash – since, you see, being an early and still mostly unknown magician doesn't necessarily pay as well as one could hope – by selling concoctions crafted from Paras and Parasect spores and acids under the guise of “magical potions”, all with varying effects. For the most part, these do exactly as advertised, despite having absolutely no magical properties no matter how much she'll swear they do. Unfortunately, mix ups happen, some of these “potions” don't mix quite right, or customers just aren't pleased with the results – and this girl's earned more than a few angry customers from her usually-but-not-always-sound business practices. Between that and money she's borrowed (and failed to return) from goodness knows how many people, it's safe to assume there's never any fewer than half a dozen people in any given city that wouldn't mind punching a certain young blunette woman in the face. The hate's rarely mutual, though; after all, she's “mature” enough to not let things that are so “petty” get under her skin.[break][break]

Despite being what a select angry few might call being a thief or a con artist by trade, though, she does have a very sound set of morals for the world – and even though she may not always abide strictly by the law, she's got pretty sound judgment on what's definitely right and what's definitely wrong. She'd never make dealings with a known member of Team Galactic or Team Rocket – goodness, even though she advertises herself as an entertainer more than a fighter, she'll knock a few grunts on their behinds if they try starting trouble in a hundred foot radius – and she's not afraid to tell criminals to their faces to clean up their act. Her greatest weapons aren't her Pokemon, but her words, a real champion at verbal combat, but that only tends to stir up more trouble with the people around her. No one likes to hear that they're wrong, after all, particularly when it's coming from a girl who practically exhales lies for a living. At the end of the day, though, she never holds a grudge – they're too tedious to keep track of, and nothing good ever come of getting hung up on little disagreements here and there – and while there are plenty of people who get a sour taste in their mouths upon hearing the name “Natalie Ivette”, hatred rarely, if ever travels both ways.

If Natalie lacks experience with friends, she really hasn't a clue when it comes to the romantic pursuits. If she were to sit down and watch anything on television, yes, she'd choose one of many “sappy chick flicks” to kill her time with – but the many cliches of poorly written romantic comedies rarely line up with the real world, and few nineteen-year-olds fresh off the anvil understand those hard truths like her. If she's to be honest, love and the many trials and tribulations that come with it are very, very low on her priority list. Never mind the fact that she'd be as awkward a date as they come; romance is a bridge she'd prefer to burn when she's no choice but to face it. Until then, she's content on her own.

Honestly, concrete relations are a little hard with this gal, just because she doesn't really go out of her way to make and keep connections, positive or negative (courtesy of an acidic mix of self-dependance and a fear of making friends and the inevitable loss of them), so don't be surprised if you wind up here more than anything else.
